Oxford County Library and Woodstock Public Library are once again teaming up for the 2024 edition of Oxford Reads. Each year, this community-wide reading initiative highlights a featured work of Canadian literature and offers additional programming throughout the summer and fall months to enhance the shared reading experience.

Motorists can expect two 15-minute closures on Oxford Road 59 (Vansittart Avenue) Bridge on April 12
Motorists and pedestrians using Oxford Road 59 (Vansittart Avenue) bridge can expect two 15-minute closures on Friday, April 12 for bridge jacking (raising and supporting the existing girders).
Please note, these closures are expected to take place between the peak morning and afternoon commutes to minimize disruption. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.

Oxford Road 59 (Vansittart Ave) bridge construction progressing on schedule

Construction on Oxford Road 59 (Vansittart Avenue) bridge is progressing on schedule. Over the past six weeks, the contractor has completed a number of steps to prepare for bridge jacking and the stage 1 deck concrete pour, including installing access platforms and pedestrian hoarding beneath the bridge to protect the trail and its users. Concrete removals are also ongoing as the contractor works to remove the existing sidewalk, curb, asphalt, and decking on the west side of the bridge.
