Tillsonburg 1872: The Action-Packed Story of Town Incorporation features the action-packed, slightly controversial and never-boring story of how Tillsonburg went from a Police Village in 1871 to an Incorporated Town in 1872. The curator of Annandale National Historic Site, Patricia Phelps, will lead this lively presentation celebrating the 150th anniversary of the incorporation of the Town of Tillsonburg.
This event is part of a new Local History Speaker Series co-organized by Oxford County Library and Oxford County Archives. Presentations in the series focus on topics related to the history of Oxford County and its broader region.
